I strongly believe that human beings are wired for connection, and that difficulties in relationships (and within people) are almost always the result of misconnection or disconnection. In my work as a therapist, I explore how communication and interaction between people can be improved in order to create or repair those connections. I am a relationship specialist who works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I am a strong social justice advocate, and I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space in the therapy room.

During the MMFT program, I gained extensive clinical practice experience at Aurora Family Therapy Centre, where I worked with diverse populations. I also spent some of my training at Rainbow Resource Centre, where I had the privilege of working with people from the LGBT2SQ+ community.

I am a Registered Nurse with a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a diploma in Psychiatric Nursing. I started working as a psychiatric nurse in 1986, and I also have a broad range of clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing. I currently teach therapeutic communication and mental health nursing.
